Built in 1954 at the Moscow Shipbuilding Yard, "Sovetsky Soyuz" is a bright representative of the "Moskvich" type vessels of Project 544 – a symbol of the post-war era. Originally named "M-146", it began its journey in the Sukhona River Shipping Company in Vologda under the name "Ulyana Gromova". Later, in August 1999, it changed its location on the map, becoming "Mariinka" in Vytegra, Vologda Oblast. In 2005, this legendary ship was acquired and renovated, coming to life again in Moscow under the banner of "Sovetsky Soyuz". There are two decks on board the vessel: the lower deck is a cozy indoor passenger salon, while the upper deck offers an open-air area with the opportunity to enjoy the landscapes in the bow, as well as a comfortable awning-covered terrace at the stern. "Sovetsky Soyuz" accommodates up to 50 passengers and provides a unique bar and tour guide services. This updated "Sovetsky Soyuz" is not just a vessel; it is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the 50s and feel the spirit of that era. The rounded shapes, characteristic of both the exterior and interior spaces, give this vessel a special charm and sophistication. There are no excesses or complex decorations here. An elegant banquet hall decorated with warm mahogany is located in the stern compartment, creating a special festive atmosphere. The superbly chosen color scheme is felt in every corner of the vessel, and maritime details such as metal lamps, compasses, maps, and vintage posters give this place a unique marine flavor. About the pier Due to its exceptional location, from the very first days of operation, the Zaryadye pier has become the epicenter of most river events in the center of the capital. The best and most spectacular river cruises either start from here or complete their exquisite route here. Close to the pier are such monumental structures as the Moscow Kremlin and St. Basil's Cathedral. The opening of the pier took place in the summer of 2017 on the territory of the park of the same name, located in one of the oldest districts of the city - Zaryadye. Over its rich history, the district has managed to be the most famous city fair, a quarter where employees of various embassies lived, and an abandoned construction site in the very center of the city due to the prolonged dismantling of the Rossiya Hotel.
