Price: 8,000 RUB Starting point: Dukka Gorge. Moon Lake sits at an altitude of 2,400 meters above sea level on the Arkasara Ridge. The route initially shares the path to the Seven-Colored Lake, leading through the picturesque Dukka Gorge along the Bolshaya Dukka River between the Arkasara and Gabulu-Chat ridges. Before the main ascent, we turn right and make our way up through a mountain forest. Although the trail is rocky in places, it is gentle and easily navigated by our reliable horses. Once at the top, you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the ridge. Moon Lake itself is shallow yet extraordinarily scenic; under bright sunlight, it gleams with a vivid emerald hue. Tucked away in a cozy mountain bowl, it is well sheltered from the wind. In season, its shores and surrounding hills are covered in blooming rhododendrons and wild mountain flowers. The ride back is just as stunning, offering fresh perspectives under the warm light of the setting sun. This tour is tailored for riders comfortable with spending around 4 hours in the saddle (plus a relaxing break by the lake).
