For a comfortable, eventful and interesting life for students, hostels are equipped with tennis, gymnasiums, study rooms, self-service laundries, access to high-speed internet and digital TV. Hostels have free Wi-Fi internet areas. Sports fields are equipped on the territory of the student city, and sports departments and a student club are operating. Tournaments in mini football, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, chess and other sporting events are held annually, with up to 20 teams from the hostel participating.

Non-resident applicants who have submitted documents to SPbPU during the summer period of the admission campaign are provided with a hostel (unaccompanied) during the entrance and competition tests upon a referral from the Admission Committee.
